History

While employed as a PCB designer at a large telecommunications firm in 1989, the engineering group that CADVantage founder Gregg Wilson worked for decided to outsource several board designs to a design service bureau. The goal was to keep the project on schedule without sacrificing quality. The experience however, was not a good one. The layouts were taking too long, and many critical design requirements were not being met. As a result, one of the designs was pulled back in-house, making it even more difficult to meet a schedule that was already in jeopardy of falling behind.

It was at this point that Gregg made a decision. When the time was right he would start his own service bureau. He believed there should be a resource that understood complex contemporary design requirements and could deliver the completed designs on schedule. Within two years Gregg made his dream a reality and the company was founded. CADVantage has enjoyed continued growth based on its reputation of delivering high quality, timely and cost-competitive design services using the best CAD tools available.
